I’m an ACE Certified Personal Trainer (American Council on Exercise certification number T151904) and I’ve been working in the fitness industry for over 6 years. I’ve worked on staff at several major gyms in New York City (including Equinox, David Barton Gym, and New York Sports Club) and now work as a freelancer with some of the top private gyms in Manhattan (including Velocity Sports Performance and CORE Fitness).
In addition to my ACE Personal Training Certification, I also have several other qualifications:
**ACE Certified Weight Management Specialist
**Integrated Flexibility Training
**Advanced Flexibility Training
**Exercise ETC Body Sculpting Specialist
Combined with years of experience and my personal training certification, these qualifications form the fundamental base of knowledge that I work from with my clients. Tackling weight management and flexibility helps me to deal not only with the aesthetics of fitness, but also with a wider range of health and wellness issues.
In addition to classes and workshops, I’ve done extensive learning inside gym facilities for most of my life. I started working out when I was 16 years old (and a shockingly scrawny 100 pounds!) and have gone to the gym at least 3 days a week every week since. It’s been a tough road but quite worthwhile. And I learned something very important over the past 12 years of exercise: if you don’t give up, you’ll win. It might take time, but you can get there.
